Really impressed with Alexander Wang’s debut collection in Paris for Balenciaga. Lots of strong modern reinterpretations of Cristobal’s house signatures. Refined elegance with a bit of an edge. And I love the fabrics!

I was really surprised when I first heard that he was going to be Nicolas Ghesquiere’s successor, like most were, but then again I was just getting used to the idea of Balenciaga without Ghesquiere, who has created some of my favorite collections of all time.

I look forward to seeing what will come from Balenciaga under Alex Wang.

I absolutely love the Fall 2006 Balenciaga collection. It is one of my favorite collections of all time. I love all the references to Cristobal. So awe-worthy.
